Albert Schweitzer

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. so thanks to those rekindlers!!!

Harold's Purple Power

"[Harold] left his yard, taking his purple crayon and the moon along...
He was ready for anything." -- Crockett Johnson, Harold's ABC.

With his crayon and his imagination, Harold can go anywhere.
As a child, I always thought that Harold had immense power and freedom through his purple crayon. Now, as an adult...I think so still. Go Harold!

Impossible Things...

Alice laughed. "There's no use trying," she said. "One can't believe impossible things."
"I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."
*Lewis Carroll, 1865

This quote has been a great source of inspiration for me. I try to combine unrelated objects into one artwork and see if I can pull it off. Making the impossible, posible.
